6129_1159686005740_1259694_nHi!   I am an avid gardener both at home and at Rosedale Community Garden in Denver where I’ve had a plot for 19 years.    At Rosedale, I’ve played an active role as a garden leader, most recently coordinating the annual garden sale, assisting in the reorganization of the leadership structure and heading up activities.   In 2015, I started a donation garden at my church with eight raised beds and a goal of donating 500 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks. As a mother of six, I am also particularly interested in supporting children in the garden.

I am very interested in learning more about gardening, how to preserve the food I grow, incorporating  fresh local produce into my cooking and living a healthy lifestyle.    In addition to working my community plots with a group of  girlfriends and family, I recently completed the Master Community Gardener Program through Denver Urban Gardens and am a shareholder at the Chatfield CSA.

In addition to gardening, I also participate in a wide range of sports activities including skiing, hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, Pilates,  biking, triathlons and more.    I enjoy reading, cooking, crafting, knitting, planning events and having fun.    I am eager to share what I’ve learned and the adventures I have learning about gardening and more in sunny, dry Colorado.
